At SpendVision, we believe your financial data is yours and yours alone. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your information when you use the SpendVision mobile application (the "App").

1. SMS Data & The READ_SMS and RECEIVE_SMS Permissions

To provide automated expense tracking, SpendVision requests the READ_SMS and RECEIVE_SMS permissions.

• 100% Local Processing: Your SMS messages are parsed and categorized strictly locally on your device.
• Zero Data Harvesting: We DO NOT upload, transmit, store, or share your SMS messages, transaction details, or bank balances to our servers or any third-party cloud.
• Exclusive Use: The SMS permission is used exclusively for identifying financial transactions to populate your dashboard. It is never used for advertising, tracking, or read for personal content.

2. Google Drive Backups & Cloud Sync

To allow you to safely transfer your data between devices, SpendVision offers a manual backup feature using your personal Google Drive account.

• Direct Transfer: When you choose to back up your data, the SQLite database is uploaded directly from your device to your personal Google Drive.
• No Developer Access: We do not have access to your Google Drive account, your backup files, or your Google credentials.
• Data Ownership: You maintain complete control over your backup file within your own Google Drive storage. We do not host or mirror these backups on our own servers.

3. Account Authentication & Information We Collect

To provide a secure and seamless experience, SpendVision uses Google Sign-In for authentication.

• Basic Profile Data: When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your email address and name) solely to authenticate your account and manage your SpendVision Pro subscription.
• What We DO NOT Collect: Even when signed in, we do not upload, collect, or store your SMS messages, transaction details, or banking credentials to our servers. Your financial data remains offline in your local database. We do not track your location.

4. Subscription & Billing Information

SpendVision offers an optional "SpendVision Pro" subscription.

• All billing, payments, and subscription management are handled securely by Google Play Billing.
• We do not process or have access to your credit card information. Google provides us with an anonymous token to verify your Pro status.

5. Data Security & Retention

All financial data, categories, and limits you create within the App are stored in a secure local database on your device (and your personal Google Drive, if you manually initiate a backup). You have the ability to delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App, clearing the local data via the "Reset & Re-sync SMS Data" feature, and deleting the backup file from your Google Drive.

6. Account Deletion and Data Removal

Because SpendVision stores your financial data locally, you can delete your financial history at any time simply by uninstalling the App, clearing the app's data in your device settings, or deleting the backup file from your Google Drive.

If you have signed in using Google Authentication and wish to delete your authentication record (email address and basic profile) from our system, please submit a deletion request via our Account Deletion Form:

Upon receiving your request, we will delete your user record from our authentication database within 72 hours.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
